GUP 06A Little Dragon Green Belt

Theory / Fitness

First 3 Elements of the Theory of Power (Hint: CREMBS)

  1. Concentration                    
  2. Reaction Force    
  3. Equilibrium                       

Self-defense: ABC (AntiBullyCertified)

  1. Ask for Assistance (Find Help)
  2. Beware (Know yourself and your surroundings.)
  3. Be Confident (Strong Voice and Posture. No! Stop! Open Hand guard.

Parallel Stance Width is 1 shoulder width between the foot swords.

Saju Jirugi  means Four Direction Punch

Fitness 15 Jumping Jacks, 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups

 Foot Techniques / Stances

  1. Side kick                                
  2. Stepping Side Kick          (step back leg behind front leg, raise front knee while pointing heel forward, push knee and hit with heel)
  3. Stepping Turning kick      (step in front, raise front knee side ways and kick and kick with instep or ball of the foot.

Hand Techniques        

  1. Walking stance Low Knifehand Block (Gunnun So Najunde Sonkal Makgi) 
  2. Walking Stance Inner Forearm Block (An Palmok Makgi) 

Pattern #3 Saju Jirugi Right Side

Ready Position – Parallel Ready Stance (Hup)

  1. Right middle punch, move forward right walking stance
  2. Turn Left, Move Right leg back low block
  3. Move Right leg forward to walking stance, right middle punch.
  4. Turn Left, Move Right leg back low block
  5. Move Right leg forward to walking stance, right middle punch.
  6. Turn Left, Move Right leg back low block
  7. Move Right leg forward to walking stance, right middle punch.

(Count to 3 on your head then go back to ready position)

Sparring Techniques / Self-defense (1-5 combinations.)

Code 5: Front Leg Side Kick

  1. Front snap kick Double Punch (4,1,2)
  2. Front snap kick, Turning kick(3,4)
  3. Turning kick low then high (4, 3)
  4. Lead Side kick, stepping side kick (5, step 5)
  5. Lead turning kick, stepping turning kick (3, step 3)

3 Step Sparring Alone  

  1. Walking Stance Front Snap Kick Landing on a low block
  2. Walking Stance Knifehand Block 

Self-defense

Release from Double Shoulder Grab

  1. Pray and Fly
  2. One Arm wave and Turn
