Another exciting two days at the Nationals. Darren received gold for patterns and bronze in sparring. Darson did a valiant effort but unfortunately lost to the champion.
This year was a particularly challenging year for DSA as a veteran with the most number of competitors in each of my divisions. This year powerbreaking was done ahead of everything else, which was unfortunate because it left so many athletes damaged, some not able to compete for the rest of the the tournament. DSA won gold for powerbreaking even after an injured heel. It was still swollen by the time the patterns event started but with perseverance, DSA captured gold there as well but inspite of the injury, still managed to secure a bronze in sparring as well.
