2019 International Instructor’s Course 138

On February 9 – 10, 2019, DSA Taekwon-do blackbelts attended the 138th IIC. It was taught by Grandmaster Hector Marano, Grandmaster Kim Ung Lan. Grandmaster Pierre Laquerre and Master Clint Norman (CTFI President). It was a great event with over 130 blackbelt from all over the world in attendance.

CTFI National Championships

Calgary, Alberta November 9-11, 2018 Another exciting two days at the Nationals. Darren received gold for patterns and bronze in sparring. Darson did a valiant effort but unfortunately lost to the champion. This year was a particularly challenging year for DSA as a veteran with the most number of competitors in each of my divisions. DSA @ DSRF

On August 7, 2018, DSA Taekwon-do, in co-operation with the Down Syndrome Research Foundation, started a 9 day Summer Taekwondo program at DSRF in Sperling, Burnaby. The class included students with various disabilities teaching them that everyone can learn martial arts.

Run up for Downsyndrome

On August 1 ,2018, Students, Instructors and family members of DSATaekwondo participated at the Summer Fundraiser of DSRF called the RUN up FOR DOWNSYNDROME. Summer Class Schedule Change

  For July and August, 2018. Classes are Open Mondays and Wednesdays only. Beginners 4-5pm Little Dragons  5-6pm Advanced 6-7pm Blackbelts 7-8pm Classes may open on Tuesday and Thursday if enough students are available.  

International Harmony Course

International Harmony Course #9 Vancouver B.C. Canada June 23-24, 2018 Mr. Andaya joined 34 other enthusiastic participants from across Western Canada (Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbian) and from Oregon State, USA, to embrace the teachings of Mr. Gastón Casero, Chairman of the ITF’s International Harmony program, and 6th Degree Black Belt from Argentina.  Participants ranged from Red Belt up to and including 6 Masters.
